Environment Agency
The Environment Agency is the Governments lead advisor on environmental
issues in England and Wales. It is split into 8 regions, 3 of which
border the Severn Estuary – Midlands, Wales and South West England,
with regional offices at Solihul, Cardiff and Exeter respectively.
Each Agency region is in turn divided into areas (generally based on river catchment boundaries) and each of these has an Area Office. These offices and relevant stretches of coastline are listed below:

* For flood risk management issues, the boundary between the Agency’s Lower Severn and North Wessex Areas is Avonmouth, not Berkeley.
