This section pulls together climate change information and current scientific understanding related to the Severn Estuary. It identifies existing and emerging trends and presents future projections and impacts of change, highlighting uncertainties associated with these.

Whilst the Severn Estuary Climate Change Research Advisory Group attempts to highlight current research issues associated with climate change science on the Estuary, the section ‘science made simple’ provides a summary of some of the complex evidence and knowledge base of climate change science to help practitioners and policy makers develop more effective approaches for local adaptation.
