Draft SMP2 for Stakeholder Consultation
Public Consultation (Now CLOSED):
The Severn Estuary Shoreline Management Plan Review (referred to as SMP2) was subject to a 3 month public consultation period from Monday 5 October 2009 through to 10 January 2010. Throughout the development of the SMP2, the Severn Estuary Coastal Group (SECG) have sought the views of those residents, interest groups, businesses and other organisations that have an interest in or are likely to be affected in some way by future shoreline management decisions. These were taken on board and the Severn Estuary Partnership (SEP) requested feedback on the Draft SMP2.
The public were invited to participate at public consultation events in early November. There were 3 ‘drop-in’ exhibitions in November at Penarth, Bristol and Gloucester, which were attended by councillors and officers of the project partners, along with representatives from Atkins Ltd, who are project managing the review.
