Severn Estuary EMS Advisory Group:
The relevant authorities have recognised that there is already a considerable amount of consultation taking place between interest groups and individual relevant authorities, and it is not intended that such mechanisms should be replaced or weakened in any way. However, it is considered important that there should be an Advisory Group, comprising non Relevant Authorities, that gives advice to ASERA to enable the management scheme to take account of users’ views as fully as possible and develop wide support for the scheme. To this end, potentially interested non Relevant Authority members of the Severn Estuary Partnership Forum were invited to initiate the Advisory Group in October 2002. The Advisory Group has agreed it's terms of reference and is providing a positive contribution to the development of the management scheme, particularly providing information on both land and water based recreation and access issues. Minutes from the Advisory Group meetings can be viewed on the members pages.
